The value for money at Astoria was excellent, with a modern family room on the top floor that had beautiful views from multiple windows. The staff were friendly and service-minded, and the hotel was conveniently located near a tram station for easy access to the city center.
The only thing that could have been improved about the breakfast choices was the quality of the food, as it felt more like a hostel than a hotel in that aspect. Despite this, the staff were attentive and made up for it.

It was worth its 3 stars. There's a great selection of restaurants to choose from, like Little Saigon, set within 5 minutes walk or so.

That there were different things to choose from for breakfast. Except for the last day of departure, nice staff. I would recommend a stay
i didn't like the fact that the shower in the hotel astoria was exactly level with the bed. nice porter explained to me that this was because it was an economy room. A privacy screen, if the shower is already next to the bed, could be set up. Although they were women, intimacy and privacy are still important. We were greeted warmly at the breakfast table, but when I asked the staff if they also had cappuccino, they went to ask. But never came back. We left on January 26th and I had a question for the receptionist, she didn't even look me in the face when I spoke. Otherwise the hotel is completely ok and you can stay there.

We loved staying here as it was a great base for exploring the major attractions, and the room was reasonably priced.

room for one person ok. if the breakfast buffet could also be enjoyed to the full on the 2nd day, you could speak of a successful excursion. Because of the Straba line 7, almost directly on the doorstep, you were in the center in no time.
as a couple we were referred to a room that was actually a single room. we only noticed this mistake the next day. hotel was kind enough to issue a credit note so that i don't have to be annoyed further. breakfast room too small when the hotel is fully booked. i. e. standing in line. besides, buffet was cleared away by the guests and was not refilled fast enough, so that i ate separating food (in this case scrambled eggs). it would also make sense to clean the windows. because it was not as foggy as i thought. And the days of coal heating are also over in Leipzig.

The room was light and airy: noise from the trams was an inevitable corollary of being so near the stop. The tram service is frequent and fast. The room rate was incredible for the quality of the room and the excellence of the food. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and with excellent english. Parking on the street was free and despite some misgivings from the look of the area, safe. For the road traveller, it is very easy to find and quick to leave, being on a main route in/out of town. We were the only english people staying - it is very popular with German families.
hmmm the name 'central hotel' is a touch misleading - its actually a 40 minute walk or 15 minute tram journey from the centre. The local area is run down although undergoing active regeneration. The hotel building and other close by are fine but a lot of the adjoining streets are very rough: we found it intriguingly 'edgy' but those of a nervous disposition might want to stay nearer the city centre.

Excellent value for money. Surpassed my expectation on the cleanliness of the hotel. Hotel staff were kind and very helpful. And extra surprise was the throw in free wifi whereas it was stated at a charge on the booking.

Location was fine, breakfast and bar were good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was all no-nonsense and dirt cheap!
The bed was too soft for me, and only one pillow was supplied, too soft as well. The room was listed as non-smoking, but obviously had had heavy smokers recently. Having said this, I did not complain at the time. We lost internet access for one evening, and no-one seemed to know how to reboot it (the hotel server was at fault).

Hotel was very cozy with direct tram connection to the center. Breakfast was excellent. Room was cleaned every day. Price was reasonable.
Only negative is the noise from the trams under the windows but you can get use to it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Leipzig and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. the hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices that won't break the bank. Secondly, the attention to detail throughout the hotel is commendable, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the comfortable beds that ensure a good night's sleep. Additionally, the location of the hotel in a nice district of the city was ideal, providing a peaceful atmosphere and easy access to public transportation.
All in all, my stay was great and I couldn't find anything to fault at this hotel.

Relatively nice Hotel in an unremarkable neighbourhood. Decent Breakfast included. Very helpful staff.
Rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy because the trams pass just meters from the windows. I asked to move, staff happy to do so but I had to endure the first night because hotel was full.
